Half-Day Spring & Autumn Foraging Walks
If you have a few hours to spare, why not join us for a gentle walk through ancient woodland and hedgerows and learn about the variety of edible and medicinal plants to be found.
By the end of the walk you will have learnt what tastes good, and not so good! Along with a whole host of other uses that you would not have thought about. You will have been taught how to safely identify them and also how to prepare them for use.
You will also learn about the various aspects of foraging including the law and ethical issues.
The course includes:
– An overview of foraging law and safe best practise
– Looking at and learning about a number of edible and medicinal plants
– Introduction on how to tell edible species apart from poisonous look alike
– Tips on harvesting correctly, conservatively and ethically
– Recipe idea
