What an amazing day! I learnt so much about our natural world today, things i would never had thought about. An amazing day with some amazing guys. Richard – Bushcraft Day Course

I’d like to thank you for another superbly executed day. The kids are thoroughly spoilt! I can’t fault anything, everything was beautifully timed and cooked – the salmon was absolutely superb. Looking forward to the next one already! Peter W.Y – Wild Food Day

I just wanted to get in touch again to say a massive thank you for all of your help on this, you have been an absolute star!  It really has been a pleasure working with you and I hope that there may be other opportunities to work with you in the future. In the meantime however, from everyone on the Countryfile team, thank you!! Hannah B – Consultancy work for BBC Countryfile

Everybody had a wonderful time, feedback from all was very positive; fire lighting and cooking on the Murrika were especially popular.  Anna – Yellow Submarine Charity.

Thank you so much for giving us such an interesting and fun day, we all enjoyed it so much and I found making fire was so exciting. I had no idea there were so many diverse ways of doing this.  Yvonne – Fire Lighting Day

I had such a lovely day and I am so proud of my ‘almost’ spoon. It was so much fun, although shamefully my arm and wrist are sore today! Rachel – Spoon Carving Day

I’d like to say a huge thanks to you both, I think we all had a blast! Many thanks for your time, effort, knowledge and good humour as always. Peter – Bushcraft Weekend

Having thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful weekend in Wytham Woods, learning about Bushcraft activities, I want to thank you both for making it so much fun.  Trudi – Bushcraft Weekend

Thank you Manse and Mark for an absolutely amazing bushcraft weekend. My brain hurts from all the knowledge you guys threw at us; you guys have got some serious skills! I’m looking forward to the next one, just need to practice everything I learnt first.

Mike – Bushcraft Weekend

Thanks Manse for an enlightening foraging day, I will never look at weeds the same way again.   Brian – Foraging Day course

Just got home from a fantastic weekend with Manse and Mark discovering the wonderful world of ‘bushcraft’. These guys certainly know their stuff and shared their vast knowledge to help us understand that nature supplies everything that we need! They were entertaining, informative, relaxed, funny, encouraging and great cooks. You certainly brought out the competitive streak in my family group and I must mention that I came second in making fire by bow drill by friction!! I would highly recommend spending time with the Wilderness Pioneers for an incredible weekend with a difference. Hopefully it will have made some lasting memories for my daughter Beth who will be 21 years old very soon!    Ruth – Introduction to Bushcraft Weekend

One of the best courses I have been on! Spent the weekend learning how to traditionally tan a deer hide. Really interesting, and Manse the instructor was very knowledgeable. Learnt so much and would give me the confidence to try it on my own at some point, after a few months of hand exercises, its hard work! The camp was in such a gorgeous location and its a fantastic set up plus had a lovely group so had an all round brilliant time and looking forward to trying other courses in the future.    Aimee – Hide Tanning Course

I did the 5-Day Advanced Bushcraft course run by Manse and his team. I went on the course thinking that I had a good knowledge of bushcraft and this would be the next stage for me. My goodness! These guys showed me skills and ways of doing things that I would never have thought about. I am truly humbled by their knowledge and skill set. Thanks for an amazing week guys, it was amazing.   Billy – Advanced Bushcraft Course

An absolutely amazing day guys, it was lots of fun, thanks.   Jane – Bushcraft Day Course

I Direct a team that run a number of advanced “Wilderness Living Skills” courses for Gloucestershire County Scouts. We initially brought Wilderness Pioneers on board purely in a consultancy role. We were looking for ways of improving the courses we delivered for our young people. We soon moved from the consultancy role to the team at Wilderness Pioneers running first one, and more recently two of our highest level or most advanced courses. They are also a great help in our programme of training for scout leaders.

The guys are warm and engaging instructors. They have the knack of quickly soothing the nerves of worried trainees, both young people and adult leaders alike, all the while still providing stretch goals and developing our young people. The team’s passion and enthusiasm for their chosen subject just shines through, this is often commented on by the trainees. We can’t help but keep inviting them back every year. They have an extraordinary skill set and knowledge base which is readily apparent.  Andrew – Private Course
