Woodcraft and Campcraft

This course is fun and practical and you will leave with some interesting woodcraft and campcraft items made from materials found in the woods and natural habitats.

Make Your Own Utensils

These may include whistles, spoons, hazel frame bow saws, lamps, utility items, cooking utensils and cordage amongst many others and learn how to improvise useful items from different woods and natural materials. We will also look at correct and safe use of cutting tools and tool maintenance including axe, knife, and bow saw.

Relaxing And Inspiring

This is a wonderfully relaxing and inspiring day, and you will leave with a sound knowledge of the properties of the different woods in our countryside and how to spot that next spoon or utensil. Carving and crafting around the campfire in the woods, with the kettle always on the boil you will come away feeling refreshed and enthused about your next project.
